Brave Little State

Vermont is often referred to the 'Brave Little State'. Here is why! The moniker comes from a speech which President Calvin Coolidge gave on September 21st, 1928 in Bennington, Vermont. Coolidge was traveling through Vermont at the time, to view the damage and reconstruction of the floods of 1927.
